Cupcakes and Cashmere Floor Lamps (Model Numbers 7927-OZ and 7927-OZ1)

Voluntary Product Recall

Designs Direct has initiated a voluntary recall of all 7927-OZ and 7927-OZ1 Cupcakes and Cashmere floor lamps in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This recall is being initiated because 7927-OZ and 7927-OZ1 Cupcakes and Cashmere floor lamp cord or internal wiring can smoke, melt, spark, overheat or ignite, posing a risk of serious injury from fire and burn hazards.

For safety reasons, these products must be immediately discontinued from use and securely quarantined. Designs Direct is offering consumers a refund for any affected unit they have purchased.

Consumers who purchased an affected product may obtain a full refund by cutting the power cord and providing a photograph of the destroyed lamp before disposing of the lamp in accordance with local disposal requirements. Upon receipt and verification of the documentation, Designs Direct will provide the consumer with a refund within 15 days.

Model Name/Number HomeGoods Style Numbers must be checked: If your floor lamp matches either the model name/number or HomeGoods style number listed below, it is included in this recall. Only products with the model and style numbers listed in the table below are subject to recall. Products that do not match those numbers are not affected.

If you have purchased a 7927-OZ and 7927-OZ1 Cupcakes and Cashmere floor lamp, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Check whether your floor lamp is subject to this recall and eligible for a replacement (check the model and style number to see if your product is covered by the recall).

Step 2: If you determine that you have purchased an affected product, please immediately stop using the floor lamp, turn it off, and unplug it from any power source. Place your 7927-OZ and/or 7927-OZ1 floor lamp in a safe, dry location away from anything flammable. To prevent further use, cut the power cord before disposing of the lamp in accordance with local disposal requirements.

Step 3: To receive a refund, consumers will be asked to cut the power cord and email a photograph of the destroyed lamp, along with their full name and phone number, to Designs Direct ([email protected]) before disposing of the lamp in accordance with local disposal requirements. Upon receipt and verification of the required documentation, Designs Direct will issue a refund within 15 days.
